Izayoi is published by Nodera LLC, in Tokyo,
Japan.
It collects no personal data. It has no network code, so there is nothing for it to send
anywhere, and no server on the other end to receive it.
What is stored
The days you mark are saved on your device, and nothing else is. A mark is a date and the moment
you made it. Izayoi has no account and asks for no name, email, or sign-in.
Deleting the app deletes the marks with it. Whether they are included in your device backup
follows your own iCloud and backup settings; Izayoi does not upload them itself.
Keeping and deleting your marks
Marks stay on your device until you take them off. Nothing expires, and Izayoi itself archives
nothing anywhere else — it has no server.
- One mark
- Go back to that day and press and hold the moon again. It is gone.
- All of them
- Delete the app. The marks live inside it and go with it. (Offloading the app keeps them.)
There is no consent to withdraw and no deletion request to send. Izayoi never sends your marks to us, so
there is nothing on our side to keep or erase — a request to delete your data would have nothing to
act on.
What is not collected
No analytics. No advertising and no advertising identifier. No crash or performance reporting of
its own. No third-party SDKs of any kind. No location: the moon is drawn from a table carried inside
the app, and Izayoi never asks the system where you are.
One thing does not come from Izayoi: if you have turned on iOS's own Share with
App Developers setting, Apple may pass us crash logs from the apps you use, this one included.
That is Apple's mechanism and your setting — Izayoi neither collects them nor can switch it on.
In App Store terms, this is Data Not Collected.
When something does leave the device
Only when you ask for it, from the Export screen:
- Export
- Writes your marks to a text file and hands it to the system share sheet. Where it goes —
AirDrop, Mail, Files — is your choice, and it goes there directly, not through us.
Izayoi puts nothing on the clipboard.
Izayoi has no visibility into what happens next, and keeps no copy.
This website
Izayoi itself never contacts a server. This website does, as every website does: our server
writes a line for each request it answers — the time, the page asked for, your IP address, the
page you came from, and what your browser reports about itself, such as its name and language.
From the IP address we look up the country, region, and network it belongs to.
We use these lines to count how many people find this website and where they come from, and to
find the cause when something goes wrong. They are kept on our own servers, with a backup copy in
cloud storage, until we delete them. We do not sell or share them, and we do not join them with
anything else.
The pages set no cookies, store nothing in your browser, and load nothing from anyone else. To
draw today's moon, the front page reads your device's date and time zone; they stay in your
browser.
Links out
The About screen holds one link: this page. Following it opens your browser and leaves Izayoi.
Children
The app collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of Japan.
Changes
If a future version of Izayoi ever collects anything, this page will say so before that version
ships, and the date below will change.
